He is a triple-board-certified radiation oncologist with more than 30 years experience in the field.
He graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1983.
Dr. Bower completed his radiation oncology residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
He also received a doctorate in physics from Wayne State University, also in Detroit.
Dr. Bower holds three separate board certifications.
He is certified by the American Board of Radiology in radiation oncology, diagnostic medical physics and therapeutic medical physics.
This triple training gives Dr. Bower a unique perspective on the use of radiation in imaging and treating both malignant and benign tumors.
He has worked in the fields of radiation oncology and physics since 1991 – including serving as a general medical officer in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Dr. Bower has a special interest in continuous education to improve the quality of his patient’s care.
